I heard the flames have hit our property at our home in Hidden Hills but now are more contained and have stopped at the moment. It doesn’t seems like it is getting worse right now, I just pray the winds are in our favor. God is good. I’m just praying everyone is safe ??

Podľa US Weekly spevák Robin Thicke stratil svoj dom Malibu. Oheň zničil aj rezidenciu Scotta Derricksona, režiséra “Dr. Podivného”, ktorý sa vyjadril: “Stratili sme domov, ale všetci sme v bezpečí, a to je dôležité. Budem chvíľu offline.”

Napriek tomu, že herecký dom Will Smith nebol v evakuačnej zóne, tweeted: “Nemám rád, takže budeme ísť.”
Herec Martin Sheen a jeho žena Janet boli nakoniec v bezpečí po tom, ako ich syn herec Charlie Sheen v piatok písal, že ich nedokázal nájsť. Miestna posádka neskôr našla jeho otca na pláži medzi mnohými zhromaždenými evakuovanými osobami.

Agentúra ČTK dodáva, že zhorel aj dom Miley Cyrusovej, ktorá sa vyjadrila: “Môj dom už nestojí, ale spoločné spomienky s rodinou a priateľmi sú silné. Som vďačná za všetko, čo mám.”

Podľa hasičov sa požiare ďalej šíria kvôli silnému vetru a suchu, ktoré v oblasti panuje. Kvôli ohňu bolo v celej Kalifornii evakuovaných viac ako 300-tisíc ľudí. Podľa BBC plamene tu tohto roku spálili oblasť s rozlohou väčšou ako má Belgicko a Luxembursko dohromady.
